CMDAP Overview

The Chinese Music, Dance and Arts Program (CMDAP)  is an educational performing and visual arts program in Lexington, Kentucky. The program promotes the understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture in a professional, fun, creative, interesting, and encouraging environment. Each Year CMDAP members give performances and present art works in cultural exchange events and festivals, such performances including at Alltech World Equestrian Game 2010 at Kentucky Horse Park and annual recital/concert
Beauty of Jasmine in Univ. of Kentucky Singletary Center for the Arts. CMDAP annual art exhibition has been held in Lexington Main Public Library.

The CMDAP offers Visual Arts classes including young children creative art classes, Chinese brush painting, watercolor painting, and drawing. The Performing Arts classes include Chinese music instrument Pipa, Chinese classical and folk dances, Chinese Tai Ji fan and sword dances, young children music and dance, modeling for Chinese costume fashion show.
